I got back from Sekiu last night after three fun filled days.

We caught a total of 47 fish in about 12 hours of total fishing time. Took home 20 fish for 5 fishermen, 12 of them silvers. 2 kings on Sunday morning, one a 35 pounder! My dad was sad to release it, but said it was a fish of a lifetime for him. The rest were half pinks, half silvers. No real size on the silvers, yet. The biggest silver caught was about 6 pounds and was caught casting a buzzbomb off of the beach by my brother. His son got seasick after about 20 minutes and we took him in.

Saw one 110 pound halibut brought in, and a few 15 to 20 pounders.

Most obscure fish of the trip was a "rat fish". Ugliest looking thing I ever saw. Irridescent orange metalic skin with a tail that looked like a rat's tail without the scales. My nephew also caught a starfish!

Caught most of the fish off of the downriggers, but Sunday the rod with a 2oz. banana weight and a plug cut herring got at least 7 fish.

They will be opening Kings for one more day on the 21st of July. Too bad I can't go.
