Whatever Riverman. rolleyes In the meantime, The Kid and I will contine to put the hurt to those fish with our infamous Wall of Pain.

Ask DanS, he'll tell ya all about how effective the Wall of Pain truly is.

Parker's Tip of the Day- Ditch those graphite plug rods and go with fiberglass! Fiber all the way, baby!

Fenwick makes a good stick for around $80. The Kid can fill you in on exact Model numbers.

Don't know if Allstar makes a fiber rod or not. Hey Joe, do you know? If so, why the heck are we not using them?????? Damn these Pro-Staffers! wink

Don't get me wrong. Graphite has it's place, but with no memory effect, fiber is the way to go on plugs and bait divers....unless you're on the Kasilof where you'll want the biggest, meanest G-Loomis (or should that be AllStar???) BBR967's you can find! eek

"Wait! Wait! Wait! Hit 'Em Now!"

Man, that's fun stuff!

Parker, did you say "wall of pain" or "wall of shame?". Remember that "he with the strongest opinion usually knows the least of the subject". About the time we think we have it figured out, someone will show us a better way. I have experimented with both methods and noticed little or no difference in catch. I do concede, however, that my experience is limited and will thus continue to experiment.

Oh and by the way, we hooked just over 100 steelhead in 11 trips last year. All of this in a river that typically receives about 3k sts per year. Not once did we count pulls. I am guessing that is pretty good even by west-side standards. Happy Angling!
