I am thinking about Point no Point off the beach for silvers this weekend. Has anyone heard any reports of the area since the opener? My salmon fishing advisor has suggested Buz Bombs.... Any other hints are appreciated.

Reasonable choice. Use one with two or three colors to imitate the light and dark areas on a baitfish. Bring multiple finishes and a black permanent marker to doctor your bombs. You may also want to pick up a few Point Wilson Darts in candlefish. 1oz to 3oz would be good. Let the lure sink for a second or two and make a slow, erratic retreive to simulate a wounded baitfish. Don't try a "snag jerk", but more of a wrist flick to add some more movement to it. best of luck. Andy
