I am looking for a nice summer float on the peninsula. I would like to float the Hoh from Oxbow to Cottonwood and the Queets from Sam's River to Streater's. Does anyone know about these floats-especially at this time of the year-I am trying to figure it out. Also looking for fish, aren't we all. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it, you can email if you prefer. Thanks!

This is the only time of year I'm able to fish these areas.
Looks like right now theres plenty of water and the oxbow drift is a piece of cake, so is the upper queets except for sams rapid but with plenty of water it's not to bad.
I've got a glass boat and had all my kids with me so thats why I was worried more.
When ya goin and holler for more info.

That lower Hoh float is a cakewalk. Your worst nightmare will be trying to get out of the cottonwood. LOL. I much more prefer the morgan's crossing to oxbow myself. A bit more technical (but not much at all if you're experienced on the oars) and alot more scenic for the passengers.

Good luck

Hey dog,
69 is right on about driving in or out of cotten. BUT, If your like me, and like to have a couple of cold ones near the end of the float, watch that oxbow canyon if the water is below 1500, you just might get bit.
Pucker factor is high even though my wife said I did just fine and the kids are yawning, WOW.

Nolans bar is a great take out from oxbow, just 2 miles further down.
