Anyone fish this weekend out in area 8-2 for pinks? Was curious if they're still in as thick as they were last week, and how much longer the fishery will last. Last time I was out was on the 19th, and we had 5 double hookups just rowing around in my drift boat. Trolling south from humpy hollow to the shipwreck with small pink hoochies about 12 inches behind white dodgers at depths of 45 -60 feet seemed to be the ticket.

I fished the snohomish for a while yesterday. I stop in after work just to see how the run was shaping up. I had 11 hook-ups and landed 10 in two hours. The fish were heading down river with the tide water. So I'd say chances are they are still thick in the Everett area. J.C.B

Three of us fished the Shipwreck and limited
the boat in two hours, releasing the smaller
ones. Most fish we have seen so far, looked
like there were more fish than water. smile smile

Fished the Mukilteo/Shipwreck area Saturday also. Got a late start purposely to avoid the boat launch madness. Hooked a total of 18 in about 4 hours between 3 of us. I'd bet that those fish will be there at least another week, or until we get another significant rain.

FYI-The seine boats get to fish today and gill nets tomorrow. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted! Hmmm...I wonder how many coho they will take?!
