I've been fly fishing for pinks at Post Point in Bellingham for two days now without any luck. I've used pink shrimp patterns and chartuese streamers with no luck. I can see the fish rolling on the surface during the outgoing tide, usually around 6 pm. Their with in five to ten feet of me, but they will not take my fly. I've casted in front of them, behind, and on top, but with out any luck. I'm using a 6 wt floating line with a 4x flurocarbon leader and tippet. Any suggestions would be helpful.
