Was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a good Guide for some silver fishing on the Lower Cowlitz or Lewis Rivers. My dad and a couple of his friends want to get out for some of the hot silver fishing this fall, and I can't see fitting them all in my drift boat.

Try Sonneys sportfishing. He's a personal friend friend of mine and has been up hammering the fish on the lewis. A lot of times this is who james fishes with!! His # is 903-9807. Just tell him I had told you to call.

Thanks Stlhdr1, I'll give him a call. By the way, do you have any recent reports on how the Lewis River has been fishing. I've heard these silvers tend to get closed mouths once the river drops and clears. Do you think its worth a shot in the next few days without any new rain?

Well, let's say that these fish have become very picky with lots of pressure. But the early morning and evening bite has been good. I went up this eve at 6:00 to meet up with james and there were 6 boats in the meathole. We managed to land 8 by dark and only one other fish was hooked. All the fishing in the meathole is from boats, backtrolling eggs. But, the river shall raise sometime this week. Good luck.
