Do you cure the roe before vaccuum packing or do you cure them after you thaw them out before using them? Just curious what has worked best for you. Thanks

Always cure roe before vac packing. Just put the skeins or bait size pieces in a layer or two of paper towels and seal.

Thanks for the info. Kid. Just curious, what happens to the eggs when vaccuum packed fresh, do they mush or smash? I take it the curing of them makes them tough enough to pack? Thanks again.

My two cents.......do a quick freeze on the eggs "before" you seal them up. This keeps the integrity of the egg, if you vacumn seal them before freezing the pressure swells the egg and makes them much softer. Just leave the package in the freezer for 3-4 hrs before sealing. Fish On laugh
