A fishing partner and I fished Seiku yesterday and this morning. The waters were calm and the weather quite pleasant yesterday. We caught a lot of fish though the fishing was sporatic and most of them were small. We kept a 6, two 7's and a 9 lb silver. We had a 15+lb fish on which came off after a spectacular leap. The rain last night and this morning must have brought some fresh fish in from Neah Bay. We had our limit of 4 fish after releasing several dozen by 8:00 am. We kept a 4lb which was bleeding from the gills, a 7, 13.25 and 18.25lb monster. We were using an army truck 4" coyote spoon without a flasher and a sonic edge -white/green glow with a flasher. The largest fish was caught at 60' and the next largest at 25' but the majority of the fish were at 40'. There is a coho derby at Seiku tomorrow so there may be a few more boats there, but there is plenty of water and moorage. After weeding through the numerous smaller fish, there are some quality silvers available at Seiku.
