Is there any places in the lower part of the river that is open now to bank fish. I'm not interested in plunking so if there are any parks or areas i'd like some directions to them.

Sturza, should be some silvers to catch on the morning low tides this week. Nets are in Sunday eve. 'til Fri. noon, but there's jacks and a few bigger ones to catch. Kinda bazaar fishing conditions on the Duwamish. Slimey mud, car and motorcycle bodies, rusted metal, and snags abound. Pre-tie a bunch of leaders, and be sure your tetanus shot is up-to-date Good eggs are your best bet; I haven't had any luck on lures. You do need a tidal runout to get a drift. Most anglers go home when the river starts running upstream. You can find places to fish around Allentown down to Boeings. Explore this area a couple of hours before low tide and you'll see where the fish are jumping, where the snags are, and where you can access the river. Good luck!

Say Sturza, as a rule of thumb, any place from Allentown on down is generally plunkers, spinners, or snaggers. Everything up to the hatchery holds a lot of drifting water. Lots of fish jumping but not very many biters yet so you have'nt missed too much. Just keep in mind that the lower river is the only thing opened until Oct., but when they get up that far, their usually dark and have lock-jaw. Since you live down south, you should try your hand at the silvers on the Carbon. They're still bright up that high, but, the water still hasn't gotten any clearer and you might hit a big ol' king and rip you a new one with the lite silver gear on. I KNOW! Gotta go and tie up a few more and go after some kings this weekend. Good luck! "DO THE WILD THANG"

One more question. Do want the tide going from high to low, or low to high.

On the Duwamish, try the last two hours of the outgoing tide and an hour after low tide. Low tide is 8:16am tomorrow, and 9:08am Friday.

Well Sturza, should have enough info. to get you started. Try to stick to learning a couple of spots as the fish tend to cruise up river. Brighter the eggs the better. They're not too shy, but its your presentation. If you get to know a drift, you'll soon know where to drift and where the snag piles are. Does'nt look like I'm going up for the kings cuz' looking at the time right knowl, ain't going to be able to wake up in a hour to drive up, so I'll stay in my own back yard and fish the green tommorow.
