The humpies were everywhere in huge numbers on the lower Sky Sunday morning. I was there with my 9wt. and a bunch of pink rabbit fur streamers. Caught and landed 15 lost 5 more in about two and a half hours. Once the sun burned through the fog at about 9:45am it was all over. I sure hope the silvers come in as strong as the humps have so far this year! I expect to see silvers in there any day now, what with this rain, and all. Anybody starts hittin' silver be sure to post it here! laugh

I hit some silvers at the mouth of the Sky on Sunday. I was there the Sunday before as well and saw a few moving through then, but they were slightly thicker this last weekend.

I'm sure with the rain, they'll be around in good numbers next weekend. Every silver I caught was wild (non-clipped)...

I don't know this river that well, but do the wild fish show up first, followed by hatchery stock?

Just thought I should mention that I only do C&R on humpies in fresh water. So the all were released while still in the river.

Last year the hatchery silvers showed up first. This year i have got more wild silvers than hatchery, but the hatchery was the biggest at 10-11 pounds. Sky/Snohomish silvers are finicky biters, and alot of times they will flat out not hit anything. Has anybody been up to the Wallace to see if the trap has any silvers yet??

are silver eggs good for curing, and at what stage of the puget sound to wallace trap would be best for obtaining them.

thanks

All the silvers I've caught on the Sky, over several years, have been on spinners at the edges where slow and faster water converge. Sometimes I've had good success just holding the lure at a point where it will spin and flutter with out actually reeling. I'm going to go check out the Wallace this weekend, I'll post what I find here. Did you guys see the new IGFA Worls Record Pink that was caught in the Sky last Saturday? picture was in the Seattle Times today. 14.48lbs. eek
