I talked to a guy on the phone today that claimed he had a 15.5 pound Humpy caught out of the Sky. He was looking for a place to get it certified.

WhoooHoooo! I wouldn't be surprised if it was true. I think there are some monsters in there this year. If it's true we'll know soon enough

We sit here and biatch and complain when someone harvests a large steelhead. How many times have we heard the "your reducing quality fish from the gene pool"? on this board every time someone posts a pic of a 20-25+ pound steelhead?

I see. We only care if it's a steelhead. If it's a sheeeit fish, we just don't care any more? Oh yeah, we add in the "it's a healthy run of fish" excuse. My mistake.

Maybe it's about time we all start practicing what we preach. Looks like I'll be seeing everyone at the local Hypocrites R Us meeting this week....

From Steelhead to Chum they are all special and play an important role and should all be treated with equal respect.

I see to many times on this board that people dont give salmon the same respect as steelhead.

Steelhead are no more important to a rivers health than a Humpie but I do enjoy catching them a little more.

I dont enjoy seeing people treating these other not so spectactular species as garbadge. They are all special in their own way.

I for one have no problem with someone keeping a fish in a healthy run where it's legal. So it's OK if someone keeps a small humpy, but they are supposed to turn it back if they catch a world record? More power to them.

I can't imagine there would ever be a "C&R" world record for humpies. With the weird shape of that 14.5 pounder, you'd have to measure height, width, girth, and circumference of the manhole cover it swallowed.
