I am considering buying a Fishing Buddy Sidefinder.

I am wondering how well it works?

Performance in river depths of 5 - 30 feet?

I have had one in my boat in Tidewater on the Coast. IT worked fine and now is on my list of things to get when I have a spare $150.

Fished in a river with a buddy who had one. I thought it was a gimmick until we started hooking fish right were the sidefinder was locating fish. From the first fish on, when the finder said 20 feet out I was casting in order to drift that range and it worked.

For what it's worth.........F.J. out.

Bud tried one on his drift boat on the Hump years ago. Pulled up and anchored next to a guide boat anchored up off a creek mouth. Just about had lost it when we turned the thing on....the guide was fishin water with no fish...but had a huge pile right under his b***. Had some fun after he bailed. This technology has some good potentials.
