Hey, anybody got a Skagit report. I figure the lower end still looks muddy but any report would help. I would love to fish the lower end but plan to go up to Rockport on Monday late morning. Is the Sauk throwing mud in too? Thanks in advance for any info!!

If you like to fish in coffee the skagits a good bet. Its fairly high and muddy still but should be dropping down in the next few days. There's still alot of fish and they can be caught but its hard when they can't see your bait. I haven't been up very far, just the Woolley and Mt. Vernon. Lots of fishermen this weekend.

Kid Sauk has allies up there throwing shovel fulls of dirt into the river up above so when he can get up there the fish will still be there and ready to bite. laugh Sneaky dude. ... jk

BTW, that's a good little trick for when the water is gin clear. Have one of 3 partners go upstream a 100 yards or so above a good hole that is holding fish and throw dirt into the river to color it up some for a much better bite for the other 2 partners (rotate dirt throwing turns). Well, maybe not such a good idea?

Well I guess I’ll answer my own post, although I appreciate the post that rcl187 gave! I fished around Sedro and the water was in good shape although high. I ended up fishing all day and hooked probably fifteen fish or so. Lots and lots of dark fish now, . I did keep two fish both around six or seven pounds. Talked to a friend who fished up by Rockport and they got seventeen fish within two hours, much better than me. Most of the fish they got were bright and the ones they keep were according to him, chrome bright, mine were bright but not chrome. Anyways, there’s the report. Visibility was probably three feet or so

Fishbreath~just out of curiousity did did you fish from the bank or boat and if its not a secret what did you throw? I've been usuing a silver blue fox from the bank but one of the better spots to fish it (the pipeline) has had a fallen tree across it all season.
