Hello,

For the coming weekend I need to buy a 2-day Wash. Freshwater license.

The person with me will also need one.

Question is -- Can I go to a vendor and buy both tags, or do both of us have to appear before the vendor in person?

Also, I assume you can buy tags, say today, for a future date - this weekend, is this correct?

Thanks much!

I can say from experience that when you buy the tags that they will ask you when you want the tags to start. As for both parties having to be there...I'm not sure but I'd bet that they would have to be.

WDFW does have an option on their licensing website to order online, but if you're fishing this weekend that won't give you enough time to receive them There is also information on where your closest licensing outlets are as well.

Glad to see you over here, Gary. Welcome to the boards, and make sure you show them your ODL so that they don't try and stick you with the board tax. laugh

In Washington you can buy another person a gift license, but you will need to have their description, address and --- yes --- their social security number. Whadda country!

Thanks for the input guys.

I know that for season licenses, proof of residency is always an issue. I was hoping that for 2-day tags, proof of who you are, or buying a tag for someone else wouldn't be an issue.

I also wasn't sure if WA. allowed you to gift purchase the 2-day tags.

Perhaps there's a license vendor on this board?
