Go figure egg "massa!" laugh

Looked in the fridge this morning and grabbed the oldest jar of eggs (four years), moldiest and ugliest eggs I had left to get rid of them to fish the "off time" today in Trask tidewater.

Go figure! 24 pound buck and 30 pound hen for the ole' Nanook. I am getting ready to go cure the eggs up, let them sit four years and get moldy and ugly I guess.

I've seen it before Rick. It's usually the exception though. If you had your A-game eggs you might have caught 4 or 5? I recall a few times seeing doughballs with the ugliest 'carp ball' looking eggs and yellow fiberglass rods catching chromer chinooks. Like you said "go figure". Moody fish, eh? But you know the better eggs will outperform most of the time. Also, you know right where to put any bait on those 'nooks down there, and that's a big part of it. - Steve

Weird, I got my steelie yesterday on smelly, moldy eggs, too. They'd been in the refrigerator for about 1 year. They were runny, soggy eggs. Smelled like soured milk. Yuck. eek

Maybe fish are just getting a little dumber? rolleyes
