if anyone goes up to the river in the next few days let me know how you are doing. I feel there should be some nice fish there after this nice rain. hopefully it will fall back into shape quick.

I doubt it will be back in shape for a while. Seems like when the lake gets full it takes a long time to drain. Ive seen the Lyre blown for a whole season. Not saying its gonna happen this year.

went to the Lyar on the 18th. The water was a good emerald color and not too high. I spent all day on the river and saw only two fish caught. Both of them very nice steelhead. Looks like group of fish are coming up but not heavy yet. Hoping all the rain this week will bring some in.

Please use e-mail for that type of info. I know I have a rep for postin on two small salmon run rivers but I won't do it on any small or medium sized steelie river. It's a different fishery and a different time of the year. Massive hatchery salmon runs are meant for the catchin but steelies on these rivers are meant for the pursuit. The snaggers and "honyachs" are pretty much done for the year no need to waken them to
what's goin on in these steelie fisheries.

Have to agree goose. The internet is such a powerfull forrum,I have seen some Neet fisheries ruined. The fly fishing forrum seem to be the worst. Some of the satisfaction of fishing or do I mean catching is figuring run timing,i.e exploring the river spending the time ,these powerfull forumms wern't here when I was a kid.Scares me some times.

Why would people tell you about a river which you can not even spell correctly?
