Wow I almost forgot about this one.
RT like
This phrase can encompass so many things while fishing.Heres a few examples
He fell down the hill in an "RT like" manner.
He wears his waders in an "RT like" fashion.

The options are endless

OK i gotta sep in here........

Egg whore..a "partner" who's freezer failed last Feb.

Egg Beak A "partner" that helps himself to your freezer while you are filling up the thermos.

egg shot... Netting your "partners" fish, pulling it into the boat only to discover "your" eggs on your partners hook in the fish's mouth.

Not from Websters:

"A-Hole"...your favorite fishing hole, your "go-to" spot; also, anyone who is in your favorite fishing hole when you arrive.

"baitcaster"...a levelwind that has been broken in, one that has been baptised in river water and in rain; it has been christened with egg, schmeg, sand, borax, and oil.

"birdnest"...the inevitable consequence of pairing a beginner with a baitcaster.

"short-lining"...fishing the waters close to you, a method of fishing after you've cut off most of your line because of a birdnest.

"Gomer"...the person to your right in a combat fishing situation.

"Goober"...the person to your left in a combat fishing situation.

"yarn freak"...a purist who catches more fish each year using a wisp of yarn, than you can catch in a decade using cures, corkies, scents, spoons, and plugs. Note: Not to be confused with "fly geek".

"conservationist"...a fisherman who loses a fish that should have been landed.

"Conservationist of the Year"(posthumously)...the person who knocked a once-in-a-lifetime fish off your line with his/her clumsy netting effort.

"sex change"...when you've lost your last di*k float and everything hanging under it. Now you must fish with boobers.

"lucky bast**d"...a person who steps into the hole you have just vacated and immediately has a hook-up.

"unlucky bast**d"...self explanatory.

"humorroids"...a condition often seen during times of stress, emotional turmoil, blown streams, and in between runs. Afflicts those who have difficulty laughing at themselves. Sufferers are only able to pass hard judgments on others. If left untreated, humorroids can develop into full blown assholism.(from Duck Soup for the Soul)

Thanks for the laughs, Todd and others.

A few from todays river adventure:

OOOOONNNNNNHHHHH! : what you hear when someone feels that trickle down the back of the neck and between the shoulderblades.

DDDDDNNNNNGGGGG TTTHHHHTTTTSSSS CCCCLLLLDDD!: What you hear when someone falls over backwards in the tailout and fills their waders.

AW SH...: What you hear before a loud "sploosh"
noise.

How in the **** am I gonna get down to that ****** fish?!: What you hear when a hooked steelie decides it's safer two holes down river. The reverse statement obviously applies when that steelie decides its better off two holes upstream.

You lost another one?!? You gonna soremouth all the fish in the river today?!?: What you hear two buddies exclaim to the third partner.

River ain't gonna clear up for a week. : What you got in response to your questions about the river being a tad high.

Nice responses, everyone!

Dances, don't worry about it. My original definition of a cracker said you need at least a couple, or more, of the characteristics to be a cracker! BTW, my dad wears ten dollar boots from Payless Shoe Source, fake leather with lug soles, over his waders. He's not a cracker (much), but he sure falls down a lot!

Steve, of course you can use any of my stuff. I send you an e-mail for your records.

I think I may be tapped out for now. I'm fishing tomorrow, so maybe some new ones will pop up.

Fish on...

Todd.

This is one of the best subjects ever.

A couple I use:

guarantees over:when we push off from the put-in.
pullin' plastic:backtrolling with a Jet Planer.
tupperware boat:fiberglass.
welfare motor:Mercury.
corked me:cast right on top of your gear while just passing by.
bank maggot:you already heard that one.
got one:a fish that you are just about to lose.
bleeder:man, that one ate it deep.
what did I do wrong?:just lost a nice fish that was almost ready to net.
fishing for Robins:cast up in the trees.
fishing for Gophers:cast up in the field.
the worst I've ever seen:backlash that I had to get out for you.
windshield wiper boat:guy trying to backtroll in a straight line but can't.
Meet me at 5:15 A.M.:5:30 or so.
pulled that out of our a$$:caught our only fish at the take out.
get used of the view:the stern on my boat.jk
let it out five:let line out five single passes of the level wind.

And my favorite one:Monkey Butt:sit on a damp boat seat in the morning and have itchie cheeks all day..

Combat fishing/Meat fishing/Shoulder to shoulder: Reiter and Blue Creek
Bloodhound: The guy coming down river fast after you just landed a fish. Also known as a Gnat. No real threat just annoying.
Pirate: The guy waiting in his rig at the trailhead, usually with friends, who saw you carry fish out the previous day.
Low baller: The guy who undercuts you in a drift.
Cracker low baller: A low baller who casts over your line. Usually the first cast is a bird's nest.
Polite low baller: A low baller who asks first and then progresses to cracker status.
Low ballers almost always appear after you just missed a strike or saw a fish roll in the tail out of your drift.
Chest wader: Literally out to his chest. One more step and he is a Bob. No offense to guys really named Bob. Often or eventually a low baller.
The socialite: Not a person for a mile in either direction but he has to fish within feet of you.
Swisher: Sets the hook on every bump. Swish, swish, swish.
Officer friendly: The guy who sits in the parking lot and wants to know "exactly" where you caught that fish.
Spinner: First time rowing.
Tester: The sled that keeps coming by every half hour. He must be out testing his motor.
Low life: Tosser of beer cans, plastic bags and Styrofoam containers.
Dreamer: Me when I am not fishing.
