I'm kind of curious as to what lengths of leaders people like to use. I have seen all sorts of lengths from 10 inches on Tokul creek to 10 feet on the Lewis.

I am prone to using about 20 - 30 inches for drift gear, about 2 feet for bobber and eggs, and about 4 to 5 feet for bait divers. What do you like?

I had been using about 48" drifting bait behind a slinky...had more success with about 30" recently. Better able to feel the bite? Also, easier to make accurate casts.

Think it depends on the water clarity and what kind of water you are fishin. I have a river that is fast pocket water that I use an 8 inch leader in but in the bigger rivers I use a longer leader depending on the clarity.

Tight lines
