I have a basically virgin drift boat to me as far as catching fish in it. I have drifted the Sandy twice and the Lewis once. I am looking for a good recommendation for the 4 day weekend, where to drift, what method to use, ect. Please help me out guys and gals. I need to get some blood in the boat and not just release fish. Thanks

Don't bother on the Washougal it's been sucking big time.. Been out 5-6 times and have yet to see a fish, not even guts at the ramps. The hatchery has less than 300 fish.. Maybe they are stacked in the lower river but I doubt it.

The easier drifts on the Sandy are not putting out fish lately. I would choose coastal rivers such as the Wilson for a virgin drift boat....or take someone with you to do the Clackamas. Theres fish being caught there! smile

Yeah, the Sandy fish suck. They have been sucking drift gear, jigs, spoons, spinners, plugs and plunked bait. I guess these fish must have been in the hard drifts. The Sandy isn't now considered a zipper, is it? I may have missed something.
