Looks like sandshrimp and raw prawn is about the only thing you havent tried. Put a small piece of prawn or shrimptail on your jig or behind a corkie.

Be paitient and your time will come.

How about a different river? ;\) Sorry, well, not really, but then again, you opened yourself up to that one.

Try a white jig!!! White's always been a good color for winter fish, got 2 chrome hens on the Green this morning on white.

Jigman, not only do you have great confidence in your jigs, I'm beginning to figure out that you also have location...location...location...oh did I mention location?

I have flogged the Green from top to bottom over the years and have had limited moments of adulation....my proudest being a 35" chrome sleek summer run on a jig one fine early June morning.......I applaud your Green prowess

Are you by chance affiliated with any clubs...with regards to the Green?

Fish Jesus, its not hard to catch steelhead on the green, just do like most of the guys on the green do, go every single morning, during the week, fish the same three or four holes, and eventualy you will hit fish. you can't not catch fish doing it this way.
I fish that river only occasionaly, and still do very good, yesterday, my partner and myself hooked three, landing two, in a couple hours. one was a 35 inch Native buck, the other was a 32 inch bright hatchery hen. small, dark jigs in the clear water worked for us.

Unfortunately I don't get to fish the Green every morning during the week, though I'd like to! I usually fish a couple of days a week up there but It has been my home river since 1980 when I caught my first steelie on it. I've always lived close to it, about 1 1/2 miles away now. I also know alot of guys that fish it regularly so I get reports often and usually have a pretty good idea where the fish are hiding.
