Bob e-mailed me his rod set up a couple of weeks ago and after seeing the trailer thread I can't help but think there are more set-ups than what Bob showed me.

I usually bring 5 or 6 rods and reels for two fisherman when I hit the river. Is there anyone willing to share their version of getting rods out of the way, keeping them tangle free and ready for action in their drift boat. My rods range from 8 - 10 feet.

If it helps I have a 16 x 54 Willie guide model.

Any suggestions or pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Interesting question. I often look like a pin cushion when going down the river, espically when there are three of us. I have mounted an adjustable rod holder on the gunnel on each side behind the rower where I can get rid of two rods. Adjust the rod holder so that the rods are pointing backwards and parallel to the gunnel so that they won't get caught up in low branches you go under; just don't forget about them when you back row into a high bank!

I'm not a driftboater, but I've seen guy's boats that have some sort of racks mounted on one side of the boat with like 5 rods in the rack. Each rod is pushed into one upper and one lower slot and is a couple inches from the other rod. Tangle free and out of the way. Maybe you already know about that, but thought I'd just put it out there anyway.
