So where are you planning on 'fishing' or should I ask what do you have up your sleave?? wink

Or was Brian trying to find a way to justify fishing Cook Creek without a guide or even the creek at Reiter?? wink That 7136 of his would be quite the stick for Deer Creek... laugh

Velcro, works great!!!! Really works good in C&R area's. Cheaper than hooks, doesn't harm the fish in any way. Just reach down and a quick pull and the fish is "un velcro'd".

I just use alot of wool. So much it gets caught between their teeth! A plain old 3/8 corkie will work also. Remember, keep the line tight! laugh Won't a large magnet work for STEELheads? confused

Always wondered about "closed to fishing". We talked about a fella that used to fish waking flies for steelhead with the hook point cut off just to get the rise out of the fish ... no more. Interesting thought???

I have had the chance quite a bit over the years to do just that back in some of the canyons.I take the hooks off my spoons and such.I even got to fish diferant corkies infront of a summer run once.Just didn't set the hook and changed presentations.Alot of fun to watch a fish take your stuff and then spit it back out all in its own time.Verry educational.Helped me learn not to strike to early when sight fishing too.I love bringing new guys back into a canyon. They always strike right before the fish bites.
