I fished the N. Fork Lewis from Merwin Dam all the way down to the Island Ramp. Saw a few fish caught from the bank at Cedar Creek. Talked to a guy who had caught a beat up 30lb Chinook. We caught about 25 fish about 2/3 Jack Steelhead and Rainbows and the rest Whitefish. No adult Steelies, the water had great color but was running pretty hard. Anyone have any better luck?

I fished the Kalama from bank on Friday and Saturday. My buddy lost one chrome fish right before I could get her in the net. Most of the bank fisherman we talked to were without a fish as well. River was still running high though.

I have never fished the Lewis, does anyone have suggestions on where I could start out fishing the Lewis from bank?
Thanks

Go up Lewis River Rd. to the first Salmon hatchery and drive down there. Get there early because it gets crowded. Or go across the bridge near the AMPM in Woodland and follow the road up the river until you see the road that is called Cedar Cr. Rd. and you can fish down there near the launch. Cedar Cr. access is directly opposite of the Salmon hatchery that I mentioned earlier. Not a whole lot of bank access on the Lewis. Good luck.
