A buddy of mine showed me this amazing industrial adhesive that he picked up at the Boat Show last year.
I have never seen anything like it...you could glue two ends of rubber tubing together and they could not be broken.
We then started playing with knots and various lines. We threaded a #25 mono about a 1/2" into a flyline and tried to pull the two sections apart. The flyline actually seperated before the mono seperated from the flyline. We then started playing around with Spectra as anyone familiar with this material knows how much of a pain in the arse it is to combine Spectra with other lines.
We threaded the mono about a 1" into the PowerPro and applied a couple drops. We let it dry and we literally wrapped each section around a screwdriver and pulled as hard as we possiblly could and it would not break.
Well I went to the Boat Show today and picked up a bottle for myself. They finally got a website where you can order this stuff online and for anyone that uses Super Glue, I would seriously pick up a bottle. It isnt cheap...about $15 for a small bottle but it takes very little per application so alot goes a long ways.
Check it out...
