While I was down bankfishing the Necanicum River Tuesday we stopped in at the Texaco station/market by the Hwy. 53 junction. They have some interesting looking and feeling egg plugs. I haven't seen them in other stores before. The plug body is made out of fake rubber eggs, similar to Gooey Bobs or the newer fake eggs; and are about the size and shape of a Tadpoly body. This is attached to a front nickle plated metal plug lip, and a wire runs thru the soft egg body to the treble hook. I haven't had time to try one yet. ...

They weren't in a package so I don't know the company, or individual, that makes these. Does anyone know about them? It's a very intriguing lure. I think with some good egg scent put on it and backtrolled from a boat, or casted and swung from the bank, it could be quite a productive lure. We'll see. Let us know if you know who makes these; and if they work very well. Thanks

Steve: Were the plugs for sale? They sound like a great idea.

Jack, I bought one to try. There were about 3 or 4 left. If you go by there heading to the NF Nehalem, Necanicum, or just to the beach near Seaside they are likely to be there for a while. This little tackle shelf is tucked away in that small gas station store, and is where I found and bought a couple packages of the long ago discontinued plastic Glo Go's. They have a big box of various colored large single Glo Go's that they want .95 cents apiece for. And some other interesting little things. One is the rare discontinued Lil' Drifter plastic drifting plug. I bought 1 of 3 remaining packages of those.

How's F4 plans going?

Steve
