Is there a suitable alternative to these? Apparently they have gotten very scarce and I've even seen some price gouging. Does anyone use something else that works just as well when doing diver and bait? I've heard that Brads is going to make these.

I've got about a dozen or so 1/4 ounce that I'd sell for $60 if you are intrested.

Mojo, go see Gary over at Great American tackle in Clackamas or go to hot-n-tots to order them online from buy tackle .com. Brads is also going to be making them from what I am told, coming out with the Mags first then the standard half ounce size. The brads wigglers look great and from what I was told the ho-n-tots are going to come with a barrel swivel on the belly already and no hooks.Save some trouble of taking them off.

Thanks firedog. Where is Great American Tackle located? I had what I thought was a stash of these at the Beaverton GI Joes but someone found them. Found the 1/4 oz. size at Camas Sporting Goods but didn't buy them. They were the new ones since the buyout of Storm.

You can use the small jet divers that have a singular setting that dives up to 10ft. I actually prefer it because it has a calmer action and with it being a "clear" diver without a ton of side to side action I believe it doesn't spook fish. Another plug that is readily available is the "Mud Bug" (you can order it out of Cabelas) is a great deep diving plug with minimal action and is easy to paint black, which is similar to the hot-n-tot. I have several of the hot-n-tots and as mentions before I'd prefer the jet divers...

I rely on the action of the bait diver to tell me if my speed is good or most importantly,if I have snagged up.The attach point for the leader is near the center of the plug and I'm using a 5-6' leader so I'm thinking that not a bunch of action is being translated to my bait.
Great idea from Brad's if he is leaving the hooks off.Have you ever shoved something into the garbage can right after changing over a dozen or so plugs? eek Those little trebs that come with the plugs are junk but boy are they sharp.
