Honey if you need to fish then make the hubby take you and if he don't then get rid of him, move to Montana where women fish with men on an equal basis or at least as close to it as you can get.

Probably because the first time you reach into a package of 4" pink worms you'll say, "Honey, Guess what! We got a bonus pack of worms. They made a mistake and put in a bunch of 12" worms in the 4" package!" I'll explain it if you need me to, but I'm just guessing.

They are not co-coordinated enough. :p Just kidding so for all you women anglers don’t start flaming me. Once and a while I see some women anglers out with their husbands, but what was really cool was one day I ran into a women angler and talked to her for a while. She was fly-fishing and was out on the river by her self, I thought that was pretty cool and you do not see that very often. My wife will not go with me in the winter she says it is to cold. She does however like to go trout fishing with me in the summer.

i tried to get my woman to go fishing with me for a long time yet she still refused(real high maintenance get your nails-hair-etc done all the time). one fine sunny afternoon last summer she agreed to come along to be "fisherman's helper" to hand me a beer when i needed one and wouldn't you know it, went to set a hook bill dance style and WHAM!! nailed her right in the forehead with my rod tip. needless to say that was probably the last time she'll ever go fishing(at least from the bank, she still enjoys riding in the boat, sunbathing of course)

:p :p If the female doesn't like fishing, camping, etc., before getting married,,, she is not going to like it after getting married. Another question is....if they don't like the fishing....what do they like outdoors? You got to be an outdoor person.

It's the extra chromasome, I think.
Either that or social conditioning. Probably the same reason why when I mentioned that Joann's fabric store carried colored glue sticks that there were a large number of guys who wondered if they could trust their wives to pick up the right colors.
It's how it is. Doesn't mean that it's right.

LOL. Ah yes, the classic tale of women and fishing. If you would like to know the answer as to why women do not like fishing, you need not look further than their upbringing, mainly. The most advantageous time to turn a person on to fishing is 'anytime', but I think you can have the most impact with the person if you start them out at a young age.......... patiently supervising them! Most likely these women's fathers, uncles, grandfathers, etc. never took them fishing, or they have some 'bad' experience from fishing at a young age that burned them out on the sport. I think women and children have about the same attention span while fishing. :p That's why it is completely respectful to bait a child's hook or a woman's hook, until their confidence level has built up enough to do it on their own. And for God's sake, fishing is supposed to be FUN !!! Start them out at places where you know fish in numbers will be nothing hard to come by, like shad fishing, smelt dipping, trout fishing, etc. Remember, it has to be easy and fun. As they get more turned on to the sport, they will really gain a respect for the fishermen who target the harder species to catch and bigger fish, and thus, start pursuing the chrome as well. Take your wives out fishing. Take your daughters. Take your nieces, granddaughters, etc. Take your girlfriends out fishing. Take your girlfriend's hot, best friend out fishing. Also, if the female is really attractive that you are trying to turn onto fishing, the best times are those really warm days where she sees catching fish as the bonus, and catching rays in her bikini while fishing her true goal (unless of course you are fishing with your daughter, then you call me instead so you can go fish with the boys and I will ummm...supervise her techniques).

Now my wife is a fisherwomen. She doesn't like being called that. She says Dollys my name & fishings my game. That is what an older man got when he asked a young girl where she got that fish. She said; out there. Only women I know that Plunked the Green, in its hayday, & lived, even after falling in. Still hung on to the pole & got the fish in. Then finished the day.

The first date me and my bride to be was silver fishing. She loves to fish and doesn't mind that I'm fishing all the time. It was fun to teach her how to cast and bait up. Sometimes she helps me tie hooks and make rags. She's a keeper!

You ever fish up here and the Vedder in Canada and you'll see alot of women here. Alot of guys up here know Lori, She'll put the wop on alot of guys on the rivers, she's very good. She has many 20+ fish on her list. She even went to Mexico for Vac to Bill fish! I took her to the Vedder for Steelhead her 1st time while Joe stayed home and watched the kids. God help the fish when she gets her own boat! Search "Women+fishing" enjoy. Alot of sites just for you! Ever up this way you can jump in my sled and bring home Hubby alot of pictures of "Guy Thing" fish!
