LOL.
Ah yes, the classic tale of women and fishing.
If you would like to know the answer as to why women do not like fishing, you need not look further than their upbringing, mainly.
The most advantageous time to turn a person on to fishing is 'anytime', but I think you can have the most impact with the person if you start them out at a young age..........
patiently supervising them! Most likely these women's fathers, uncles, grandfathers, etc. never took them fishing, or they have some 'bad' experience from fishing at a young age that burned them out on the sport.
I think women and children have about the same attention span while fishing. :p That's why it is completely respectful to bait a child's hook or a woman's hook, until their confidence level has built up enough to do it on their own.
And for God's sake, fishing is supposed to be FUN !!! Start them out at places where you know fish in numbers will be nothing hard to come by, like shad fishing, smelt dipping, trout fishing, etc.
Remember, it has to be easy and fun. As they get more turned on to the sport, they will really gain a respect for the fishermen who target the harder species to catch and bigger fish, and thus, start pursuing the chrome as well.
Take your wives out fishing. Take your daughters. Take your nieces, granddaughters, etc. Take your girlfriends out fishing. Take your girlfriend's hot, best friend out fishing.
Also, if the female is really attractive that you are trying to turn onto fishing, the best times are those really warm days where she sees catching fish as the bonus, and catching rays in her bikini while fishing her true goal (unless of course you are fishing with your daughter, then you call me instead so you can go fish with the boys and I will ummm...supervise her techniques).
