Well, it was just about as nice a day in February that anyone will ever see on Midchannel - and I had the Ft Warden boat ramp all to myself at 0 dark 30, there was absolutely no wind, it was relatively warm, it only rained a little in the middle of the day, I got ahold of the nicest green lable herring I have seen in years, my boat and all it's goodies worked perfectly, I found lots of bait (sandlance, unfortunately), and I even marked some "computer fish" on my depth sounder. Just couldn't get any to bite, at least on my nice herring anyway. Ran into a freind of mine who was fishing hardware and he did C&R a couple small ones, and after he loaned me a flasher and a spoon I actually hooked and lost a nice one on the next drift eek But out of the 50 or so boats out there I only saw two others caught. Miserable fish, won't bite herring mad but that didn't spoil my day. Don't think I'll go out there tomorrow, though. frown Any other sob, or better yet success, stories out there? laugh

The fishing was GREAT! The catching could have used some improvement however........
