...my fishing license AND my CG ID today while fishing the Green at Flaming Geyser. I don't know what posessed me to put my ID card in my little green fishing license thingy, but for some dumb-a$$ reason today it seemed like a good idea. Tucked 'em into the top pocket of my waders with my car keys and shrimp scent... but when I got back to the truck just as Mr. Trooper was making his last call rounds to clear out the park, only the keys and stink were in my pocket. frown

I have duty tomorrow, so can't go back out to look 'til Saturday... I had intended to fish this weekend! If any of you are headed out to the Green tomorrow, could you help a damsel in distress by keeping an eye out for my little green impossible-to-see-on-the-ground fishing license holder please?

I fished between the 1st parking lot by the RC Plane airstrip upriver to the first bend. Thanks so very, very much. I don't know which is worse... losing my license or my ID. OK... I know which is worse... But I can't replace the license without my ID! laugh

Love, Elsa

Littlebear, you should have had an Epirb attached to your License and ID, with all the rain forcasted, it would be hailing you now!
Just a side note, wonder if you know my brother Jimmy Ng....former commander of the Kodial CG Airbase?
Hope someone will find your things and return them to you.

Steve Ng

Steve, would that be the same Jimmy Ng I've read about as making a number of dangerous helo rescues in the Gulf of Alaska, from what I've read about this guy (I think his name was Jimmy Ng) he sounds like a real hero.

Yes that is my brother, we are all quite proud of him, flying a helicopter in Kodiak can be extremely dangerous. He has been featured on the Discovery channel before too, and has been commended by the President. He is retiring in a few months, but is going to stay in Kodiak for a while,(Can't wait for him to move back to his Sitka home), since that is where his daughters work and live.
One of my other brothers Ben, who used to Charter the six pack "M/V Relentless" has now moved to Juneau with his wife. It is good to have family in Alaskan places....where many fish roam, if you know what I mean!

Thanks Rainycity. smile I needed to get a new ID card anyway (but the new military IDs look more like a Costco card! :p ) so it's more my license I miss! laugh

FishNg1 - Your brother's name, of course, sounds familiar... when was he CO of Kodiak? I was up there on the Fire Department back in '88 - '90.

You know... if I'd actually hooked into a fish losing my stuff just wouldn't have seemed so bad! laugh
