Does anyone fish for them down in the Columbia? If you were going to target them, how many could you catch per day? Just curious if it is worth it to try and fish for them. You can get $4-$5 a piece out of them and $100 if you get a tagged one. Any information you guys have would help me out. Hey I'm 18 and the idea of fishing for money sounds great!

Squawfish are very easy to catch, but you have to catch a couple hundred before you get that much for them and they have to be a certain size before they count. Several friends have tried to cash in on the squawfish bounty but gave up because it was more of a pain than it was worth, they'd rather catch salmon or steelhead than weed through all the small squawfish it took to make any money.
