Financial Advisor for individuals who've accumulated a substancial amount of wealth. Not a bad gig. It leaves the weekends open and the work week flexible.

Retired at age 39 from my self owned and operated home repair and maintenance business. I moved to Washington in 1986. Spent the next 8 years donating my time to an organization named the "Friends of the Cowlitz" (FOC) Was the FOC business manager and Treasure for over 6 years. I spent the next 4 years as the FOC President. From 1988 to 1999 I was also a full time fishing guide.

For the last 6 years I founded and ran another organization called "Cowlitz Plan for Restoration Fish (CPR-Fish). CPR-Fish is a citizen group that has intervened in the Relicensing of the Tacoma Power Cowlitz River Hydroelectric Project 2016. CPR-Fish also is dedicated to perpetuating sustainable populations of anadromous and resident fish in the entire Cowlitz River Basin. We also work very closely with the FOC.

In yes, it's all done without pay, through my own volunteered time!

I never thought this type of thread was quite appropriate on a fishing BB; but now I think otherwise. Very interesting too. Raises some questions and comments though. \:D [oh no, he must be on the meds again] No. Not for a good while now. ;\) ...

- Inquiring minds want to know what a Croupier is?
- Fishslayer; if you manage a Toyota service department I figure you have plenty of leaders tied up. If it's in a GM dealership, don't fish snaggy water. \:D
- Geez Craven, you're a retired giggalo too! Cool job until the bod goes, ay?
- BERKLEYBOY, I'M CURIOUS IF YOUR PRINTING CO. EVER DOES ANYTHING IN SMALL CASE LETTERING?
- Serious: I'm always proud of our soldiers, teachers (sort of similar jobs these days ;\) jk?), firemen/policemen, and hard working guides. I used to be 2 of those - P.E. teacher while coaching basketball and physical arts (don't ask), and a fishing guide.
- Hey Skywalker, after I got out of guiding I helped my older brother with his large business of making customized copper core electro-plating racks for many companies making circuit boards and like things (my sister-in-law sold the biz after my bro passed away in a small plane crash last year). We sold to such Co.'s as Beaverton's Techtronix and Dallas' Pragetzer's; I think some to Intel too for awhile.
- Hey B-RUN, coming from Idaho I figure your job as a semi-conductor is a lazy one for Am Track? \:D nah, jk - Micron Tech is a good company that the Boise area landed. Hope you are getting their stock in your 401K. And thanks for the 'inside trader' tip about the upcoming takeover. ;\)

My wife and I just moved to the Tri-Cities from Spokane a few months ago. I am starting a new job in a couple days for a program created to mentor youth in all aspects of the outdoors. Everything from fly-tying to learning how to set up a wall tent. The great thing about this job is that I get paid to show kids how to have fun in the outdoors; couldn't get much better.

Formerly computer information systems consultant for many years, now semi retired stock trader and aspiring golfer. Yeah, I still fish a lot as well, though that golf thing is addicting.

Funny this thread should come up..... My profession is the very thing that has kept me off of this board as well as the rivers for the past month or so. I am a Union Operating Engineer, Local 612. I've been busy as hell lately. 60-70 hour weeks have pretty much insured that I wont even have time to post on this board, let alone go fishing.
