I am planning to fish for a week out of Illwaco in August and was wondering which week would be best. Salt, Bouy 10, or above the bridge. Any input?

Ocean should be smoking from the opener.

B-10 turns on steady about the 2nd week of August, with my best days coming the last week of Aug/first week of Sept.

Never fish above the bridge, so maybe somebody else can help you out there

Last year I seriously fished Buoy 10, and I caught limits every time I went out, except for days when I got blown off, from the first of August to the end of the first week of September. After that it dropped off fast, but Grays Harbor picked up and filled the slack nicely until duck season, so I was a happy camper \:D Last year it was pretty much all coho - nice ones, though, rarely kept one smaller than 12 pounds and they went up to 22 for me This year they are saying it will be mostly kings, and those were more concentrated for me in the last two weeks of August, mostly after they had closed the fishery for them \:\( So this year I would concentrate on those last two weeks in August - you can bet I will
