From Forks to Kingston then onto Tacoma, through Seattle and finally Everett (it is what you gotta do when you miss the last ferry) it is exactly 225 miles.

And to think that was not the worse part of my day...lets just say it involved learning a lesson the scary and the you know who way (well almost, I did not go swimming wink ) about ALWAYS carrying a spare oar. I will not get into details...

But I will say, it was worth it and I would do it all over again. smile

Nice picture. That is a good way to take a picture without abusing the fish. Any speeding citation? wink

I can relate Ryan. I've done a number of one day trips from Cedar Mill (west of P-town) all the way up to the Hoh and others on the outer Pen, the previous couple of years. I started at about 2 a.m. in order to meet Oly friends at Monty Square, and on to the outer OP. Then I have to drink several cups of coffee to stay awake driving back home, by about 9 to 10 p.m. LONG days - but like you said, worth it. I haven't been able to do it this year because of the tail injury. But I have a ride up to the Sauk soon. Overnighter for 2 days fishing. I think that's the much better way to do the long trips, to reduce the chances of falling asleep at the wheel, and get in some more fishin!

All you Pugetropolis guys know that its faster to drive thru Aberdeen right? Well, its a lot closer now that the Sequim bypass is in place...

One year I made the pilgrimage to the Hoh 42 out of 52 weekends...I'll bet you can't guess which ten weeks I skipped....
