I know a few like:

Springer=Spring run king
Row hog=King
Hot Shotting etc etc etc.

Blackmouthed is what happens when you've been mooching someone else pink, unless they take you outback to jack ya into bootchum and find out you're shortlined

then they just go away laughing

You better not go mooching around someone else's pink or you will get jacked and end up with a blackmouth or worse yet a boot in your chum

especially if you have a short line!

Okay someone must be helpful:

Pink= color of Rt's high heeled wading boots

Blackmouth= Black licorice sticks causes it

Mooching= purposely forgetten to bring gear and/or bait so you borrow buddies

Jacks= Heck of a good bar and steak house, or game kids play

Short Lined= presence of wife or girl friend required, sometimes referred to as "short leash"

Boot Chum= reported to share Rt's boots (JK) :p

Pink? - Smallest salmon species, runs in oddnumbered years

Blackmouth? - Resident chinoook, usually applies to Puget Sound fish

Mooching? - Technique used in fishing for chinook using herring, letting the bait hit bottom, lifting the rod tip slightly and letting the bait drop

Jacks? - Immature salmon that return prior to sexual maturity

Short lined? - Short lining is barely casting out, a short drift. Pain in the ass if one guy is doing it in a long line of bankies...

Boot Chum? - Did you see that post where the guy was holding up a hideous looking fish with purple stripes?? That was a boot chum...a chum salmon, the color of a boot...

Actuly Jacks are fully mature fish

jacks are sexually mature male salmon, that did not spend 3 or 4 years out at sea. our jacks are most in river salmon except smolt/fry up to 22 inches. anything over 22 inches is concidered an adult.

Jack - small fish.

Mooching = Whole or cut plug herring, usually dropped to the bottom and retrieved with varying speeds back to the surface, and doing it again and again and again..... Until you get your fish.

Jigging= Using a jig Point Wilson Dart or similar jig weighing between 2-6 ounces, dropping it to the bottom or where you are marking fish on your depth finder. When at the approximate depth of the fish, you lift your rod tip up rapidly and let the jig flutter until your line is tight and do it again and again until you find fish.
