I'm driving down from Puyallup to give this F4 thing a try. Hopefully a boat full of rookies will show you all up. Anyway, can anyone recommend a good boat ramp near the fishing either on the WA or OR side to launch? And when is high slack? The info would be appreciated. Thanks and see you on the river.

PSC --- Geez, we have posted and re-posted on this. High slack is at 6:00 AM and low slack is at 2:47 PM. Search the F4 posts for launch sites or see Aunty M's or my posts.

PSC, BB's at the mouth of the Lewis is the closest launch on the Washington side. Single concrete ramp, no 4WD required. That's where the Capital Punishment Team will be going. Good luck and tight lines, Jeff PS, Don't ask me for directions, I just know how to get there.

We'll be launching at Bayport Marina. It is about 2 miles East of St. Helens, Oregon. The launch is about 2 miles to Sand Island, and some great fishing in the Mulnomah Channel, or Columbia River. Bayport is a really nice facility, with double wide ramp, and lots of parking. There is also a Huge Covered Picnic area, with BBQ!! Sure wish the luch was going to be there instead of Sand Island. :p

Lewis RIver launch is tricky to find if you haven't been there before. Parking is minimal. Ramp has a big hole in the right side that your trailer will drop in on low tide.
Coming from the north, I would go through Longview and cross the Columbia, then take 30 down to St. Helens to launch. Better facilities and more parking.

Beebe's moorage at the mouth of the Lewis. Here goes. Take notes. Exit Woodland from I-5. West through town on the main drag. Turn left on 5th. Stay on the main road (follow double lines) until you cross the railroad tracks. Turn left on Kuhnis. Proceed to the dike and stay on it until you start to turn away from the Lewis. Turn left into the moorage. $3 fee. The launch is in great shape. Concrete, with the hole at the bottom of the ramp filled in or not evident in this higher water.

Thanks for the info guys! We'll see you on the river. Does anyone know how F4 teams will be able to identify one another? I have seen a few ideas posted, but is there anything that all participants will use to ID one another? Thanks and watch out for the "Three Polish Cowboys!" ... We're gonna catch all of the hogs!

PSC, We will be sporting our team name on the side of our boat. Team CRSVV, (Columbia River Springer Virgins Vehicle). If you notice a "V" missing, it means we got lucky.
