Has anyone had any experience with ODC 1220 pontoon boat (Outdoor Discovery Country?). On sale at Cabela's for $1000, Original price was $2000.

Dont have any personel experience with the boat myself but I can that by looking at it, it looks kind of cheasy.

For a little more then $1000 asking price, you can get by two pontoon boats of excellent quality. Two Buck's Bag Southforks will run you $1200 plus tax.

I've floated an older ODC. They key to remember on this boat is "rated at 600lbs". Now, that's REALLY stretching it for a 2 man boat. My old 9' boat was rated at 700lbs. If you want to blow $1000, at least get a steelheader. But if you have that type of money, custom build one. Depends on what you want to do with the boat. You may be able to get buy with one MUCH cheaper.

I PURCHASED A ODC 216?? ONE MAN PONTOON BOAT FROM CABELAS, AND IT WAS LAME, I SENT IT BACK, REALLY POOR CRAFTMANSHIP, LIKE HERE I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LAKE SO TO SPEAK, AND ONE OF THNE PINS HOLDING THE SEAT ON FALLS OFF INTO THE WATER AND THE OTHER ONE GETS ALL BENT UP TRYING TO HOLD THE SEAT ON WHEN ROWING BACK INTO SHORE..I HAD TO ROW AT ANGLE TO PUT PRESSURE ON THE OTHER PIN OR IT WOULD OF PRY BEEN OVERBOARD TOO..
