hello all i'm new to this board. I was just wondering if any of you have tried the curado sf. If so is it worth $30 more than the one without it. Can't wait for June 1. Itching to go to the n.fork of the sky. Well enjoy reading posts here.Looking foward to a gr8 steely year.

Yeah, I like them.. They've also got a new super free in the Chronarch that is SWEET too. IMHO it's worth the extra $$$.

Yes, it's worth the extra $$$ to upgrade to the BSF.

Just my opinion.

Let me state for the record I do not own a curado SF. But a few months ago I was in the market for one. While I was talking with the Shimano repairman at John's Sporting Goods in Everett, he told me he was seeing an inordinate amount of these reels in for repair. His advice to me was to stay with the standard model curado. Reasons being, the wiffle spool seems to allow river water, egg juice, etc to work its way into the insides of the reel itself, causing a breakdown. I would like to hear from any hardcore users of this reel if they find this to be true.......c/22

I've been fishing a BSF hard since the first of the year. Many S.H. and a few Springers landed, dunked in the river once, and fished all day in the rain many times. I've yet to even notice a change in it's performance. Any time I see someone using one I'll ask them what they think about it. Everytime all I've heard is "I love it". I am going to buy another one and would recomend the Superfree to anyone. Spend the money for the BSF you won't be sorry.
