sunday down on BC with rocklizard, i hooked what seemed to be a springer which eventually returned my "offering" after about a 45 min struggle. He got tangled in something a little way through the fight, but made several runs down and back. A sled with 2 guys pulled up after watching my struggle and offered to take me out in their boat to try to get it. they took me out for about 15-20 minutes, but to no avail. they returned me back to the bank and left. I haven't been fishing the NW rivers very long, but have done quite a bit elsewhere throughout the years, and never have i expierenced such kindness. If you two guys frequent this board and see this post, my heartfelt thanks to you both and if i ever run into ya again, beer's on me!!!!!!!! thanks again

Unfortunately I think people tend to post about the conflict more than the graciousness of the banky vs the boater on the rivers.I never really have had a bad expierienc but I have had a drifter pick me up and take me to calm water so that I could get a big fall king out of some strong current.I gave that guy the roe out of her.My first springer was netted buy a guy launching his drift boat.My reel had gernaded and he saw my strife and rowed out and scooped it up. smile

Any more positive expieriences to share out there?

Schrambo,

I was the big guy with the net. We tried everything to get your fish out of the rocks (a springer, no doubt) without success. My fishing partner and I were more than happy to give you a needed hand. You're welcome and thanks for the thanks.

p.s. I thought we left the dog at home that day...
