Wouldn't that be the holy grail! rolleyes

Collectively...the members of this board could probably hook you up with every possible shot...but of course then we would have to do away with you! laugh

I doubt such a source exists...unless you count hearsay or legwork.

FJ...out.

A good starter are the hatchery information pages (state, federal or other). If you look at what fish they raise and then figure what months those fish typically return (i.e. Aug - Oct for Fall Chinook, Dec - Feb for Winter Steelhead, etc.), then cross reference that with a map of the hatchery so you can trace the rivers back out to the ocean, you'll have a pretty good idea. Regs for different bodies of water give you a good idea too (sometimes).

WDFW used to publish historical data on steelhead catch statistics by month for every river in the state. It would be worth checking if they still do this, as it was a great resource for knowing where to go when.

The book "Fishing in Oregon" is an excellent resource for the Oregon streams, and I believe that Henning or someone like that produces a book on Washington streams. Look for them in your local fishing shops and/or bookstores.

When I use to subscribe to Hunting and Fishing news I would write down the bait and tackle shops phone numbers within there articles. Before I would go fishing I would call these numbers to find out CURRENT river conditions and if ask if fishing was good. Problem with fishing is that. Some people catch them and some dont. I also realized that some bait and tackle shops will say anything to get you to there river to get your buisness. My best advice is " enjoy the fishng regardless if you catch them or not" You'll always go home satisfied. laugh laugh laugh
