hey, went down to the cowlitz today, was gonna do a little glow balling near blue creek but the water was high and moving fast.... this was at 12:30am... waited around until 4:00am, drove over to barrier and it was also real high.. and it looked like the no fishing line was moved down river, is this true or was i just seein things..

"The line" is normally 400' below the fish ladder/Barrier Dam. During the last 2 fall silver seasons they had changed it to 200' to increase the take of the over abundance of fish. Shouldn't be any farther than 400'.

you hook any springers down on the cow?? i was there last sat and there was only a few actually landed, alot of buzz bomb snagging going on, quite a few summer fish caught tho.. maybe see on the river for fall kings?? that spot where i hook those steelies should be hot for kings. **berkley boy**

FS, I think you were seeing things. I stopped by there yesterday morning to show a buddy the area and the line is still in the same place. Water was too high to fish it so we went down to BC. Just checked the flows, Wow, 13,700 cfs they sure do have that Cow crankin. You should have stayed at BC

The deadline has indeed ben moved downriver approximately 100' and there's a good sized tree trunk lodged in the rocks right at the new line. Water levels were dropped, but there's still lots of water and current going through. Did manage to land a bright , scrappy 8lb. Steelhead fishing in the next pool down.
