The north fork is back in the old channel again above C-Post and it could be dangerous for someone in a boat or pontoon boat. The river now cuts through a big log jam and there's timber in the water from every direction. Make a scouting trip on foot if you plan to float this area. When the river gets low it may be possible to walk it through, but not until it drops a bunch. I know boat traffic is only the occasional pontoon boat up there, but it only takes one.
For a report, I fished from 6:00 to 11:00 and didn't touch a thing. The water's high but vis is good.
