What is a good Hi-Vis line for use with spinning reels? The lines I have tried work fine on my level winds, but are too stiff for my spinning reels. Thanks for any info!

If you can find it try the Hi-vis line from Sufix. The D.N.A. in 8 or 10 lb. works great as a main line on a stradic 2000 sized spool. I run it side-drifting with a ultragreen leader. I know a couple of guides who swear by it. The maxima fiber-glow is ok, a bit stiffer than the dna but it's easy to find and it works...c/22

Sufix or Izor line in hi vis yellow works great.
It cast very nice, not much memory, coils don't fall off spool. We use mostly 8# for side drifting, folds up well.

I've been using hi-vis Ande 10 lb yellow and have been very stisfied with it. Strong and inexpensive, allows you to respool before it gets a memory and doesn't put a big dent in your pocketbook. 600 yd spool at Sportco is like 5 bucks.
Good luck and tight lines, Jeff laugh laugh

I agree with Jeff. Ande all the way. An 8lb spool is 787 yards for under 4 bucks. I like the Hi vis green though. I had a chance to try 3 different colors while lake trout fishing. Green, Yellow, and Pink. And without a doubt Green was the color that seemed not to spook the fish. And i'm talkin 100ft down. Not one fish touched the yellow or pink but i did land 7 decent lakers up to 9lbs on the green. I also tried this steelheading and got nothing on the pink or yellow. Something about that green that doesn't spook fish. And the high vis. really helps while drifting and mending, especially in high wind or dark overcast days that seem to make your line invisible. cool

SUFFIX AND Izor are awesome lines and very tough. They are both manufactured by Mitsubishi and are the same line. Sportco has bulk spools (1#) of Izor Hi Vis for about $27.

bug tosser:

Ande Envoy.......8, 10 and 12 pound. This line works very well for me. Use it to fish fall salmon....jacks, silvers, and kings.....winter steelhead........and using right now to float and jig fish.....It doesn't scare the fish, works great, is cheap.......hell of a combination!!!!

Anyone know where to get Sufix or Hi-Vis Izorline in 8# up in the north-end (Lynnwood - Everett)?

Or, can it be ordered online from someone?

Sufix all the way. The only place I've found it is e-angler.com $6.99 per 1/4 lb spool, plus shipping.

I also run Izor Hi-Vis on all my Boon doggin' rods and my plug rods. Auburn sports carries it in the south end.

I use both the Andy and Izor Hi-Vis lines and find that both gets the job done adequately. Both are inexpensive and easy to get. Great for tracking your offerings. wink

I use Golden Stren. At least in two pound test. Have had few problems with it. Except for knots slipping. Had to double the amount of turns on the cinch knot. My Dad loves the Stren in 12 to 20 pound range for salmon. If you want a superbraid, Tuffline Plus had a teal colored line. Don't know if they still do. Ande is my second vote.
