I'm looking for a used fiberglass boat,to fish the sound and the straits. I am looking for an 17-20 footer with an I/O. I've heard good things about Olympic and Glasply and am wondering about anything else I should consider? Is a 25hp to big for a kicker on a boat this size? I have a 25 Yamaha and am hoping it wont be too big.

Thanks for the advice.

I have a older 20ft searay and love it. Lots of interior room and enough rear deck space for 3 elec. riggers. The sides are also high and handles the big water great.

I just placed a 19ft reinell on the classified section here that might fit your needs.

Check out the older used Tiderunners in the 18-20 foot range. Yes they are outboard powered but they ride great in the rough stuff.

Take a look at the C-Dory and the Grady Whites.
