Hi all,
I am coming to the Seattle area the first week in July and I am wanting to take a guided Salmon fishing trip. But once I got on the net to track some down, there are so many to choose from. Can someone steer this Okie in the right direction? It will be me and my wife. Thanks.

I would recommend John Keizer for a guided salmon fishing trip in the Seattle area. He was featured on the TV show Fishermen's Heaven. His gear and boat are firstclass and you will have a pleasant and productive trip. There are several other top notch guides in the Seattle area, but I am not familar with them. You can read some info about John on the Salmon University site at http://www.salmonuniversity.com/faculty.htm
Hope that you have an enjoyable trip to the Northwest.

Here is another vote for John Keizer,I've never personally gone with him,but know people who have. My father-in-law went with him last year and had a great day on the water. They caught some salmon and my father-in-law learned some teqniques for his own boat.

John Keizer's # is 253-565-6598

Hi folks,

Yep, here's yet another vote for John Keizer. My girlfriend and I went out with him to Mid Channel Bank this past November, and we got three nice blackmouth (limited the boat) my girlfriend caught the biggest one, 14lbs. He definitely works hard to put you on the fish, and he knows how to do it.

DEEPWATER, I think you're missing an "l" on the end of "html" on your link... it didn't work for me... try this one:

Also, John has his own site for his company Puget Sound Salmon Charters, it can be found here:

Hello Shade,

So you coming this way huh. I went to school in those parts. Ever hear of OU. I'm a sooner man! Went their during the Chuck Fairbanks and Barry Switzer Days. Man that was football. laugh You should do well with John or any of a number of good guides that are available. Anyway Norman was OK but got to have them steelhead and salmon now. Good luck and tight lines. wink

Hey all,
I appreciate the responses. I called John Keizer today and we are set up for a trip that first week in July. Can't wait. Thanks again !!! (John Lee- definitely heard of OU although we are more in the eastern part of the state. You were at OU during the good old days !)
