Yeah, I'm feeling pretty manly about now, (as DF clears his nostrils the farmer john way)
Just got done rebuilding the carburator on my new/used 1981 QT 50 Yamahawg. ("Snort") Runs like a dream, and I even burried the speedometer a time or two (max's out at 30, don'tcha know!). ("hack") Fashioned a head gasket out of some old wader material with a pair of egg scissors, but I have a stock model on order. "spit" Thinking of getting a speed kit for it, push it up to 40 mph or so.
Anyway, gonna use it for a shuttle vehicle. Got it for free, quite a deal. Now I owe Bardo a ton of eggs. Didn't run when I got it, but it sure does now.
What "hawgs" do you easy riders use for shuttles?

'She Who Must Be Obeyed' got tired of driving the shuttle before daylight so she got me a Honda Elite 50. Cutest little thing you ever saw. I built a bracket out of four inch channel and bolted it to the trailer tongue so's I don't have to muscle it into the back of the pickup. Haven't had to get off and walk beside it yet.

Mines a 1972 CT70 Honda...it'll still go 35 on a good day but is not street legal so occasionally get hasseled by the cops. Park ranger on the Quinalt was really anal about it but was nice enough to give me a ride instead of a ticket. Anybody else have this problem?

Steely Slammer,
I just spent $55 at repairmanuals.com and ordered a maintenance manual for it. For half of the cost, I'll make you a copy, and I also live in Grays Harbor County so it should be easy to get it to you.

Oh, you boys are manly men, indeed. I tremble in my insignificance at the smell of your testosterone wake.
My neighbor has a honda trail something leaning on her garage that probably hasn't run in 10 years. Think it's worth trying to rebuild?

Silver Hilton,
If it is a two stroke, then it should be a snap to get running. Let me know what you find out, but there are repair manuals available on the net.
