ive never fished the river before, and was wondering if anyone has directions, i read the regs and it said sumthing about no fishing above 101, how do i get below 101? is there a exit that runs paralel to the river? if you want to email me directions thats fine, but i think from the reports ive heard that this is no zipperlip.. **berkley boy**

When you come down the hill on Hwy 101, just before you get to the Skok, turn right onto the Purdy Cutoff road. That road will parallel the lower river and intersect Hwy 106 in a few miles. The turn is right across from the George Adams hatchery.

From there, just follow the hordes of people! Actually, I've found on the Skok that if you are willing bushwhack a bit, and don't mind exploring, you can find decent holes away from the crowds.

Don't let the skoke fool ya there is lot more to it than the lousy fishing below the salmon hatch!!!!

The salmon hatch is across 101 from the river.The cut of point is reel clear and the people will let ya know.the Purdy cut off runs along side of it from the canal all the way to the hatch and vallly road.Get a hold of me and maybe I could show ya some of her reel graces.
