Tuesday I read in the sports page ot the Tacoma Tribune that the Kalama and the Toutle will OPEN 1 AUG for taking ANY Kings and hatchery Coho.
( see fishing report on the Cowlitz )

Fridays sport page of the Olympia paper sports page states that you can NOT keep ANY kings or silvers in the Toutle this year.

Is there a web site I can get current regs changes. Or better yet, do any of you have the phone number of the Bait and Tackle store on the Toutle so I can verify which paper is correct. THANKS

I read the same article and thought man is that guy gonna confuse some folks!!! From Aug1 through Sept 30 you can keep 2 adult salmon on the Cow in any portion of the river as long as they are not chums or wild Coho. After Oct. 1 you must release all Chinook between Blue Creek and Mill Creek. Follow Aunty's link and the regs are pretty clear. I think I will send an e mail or phone the guy who wrote the article on Monday and maybe He'll retract it next week.
Good luck and tight lines, Jeff laugh laugh

Thanks Jeffhead

Sunday PM we are planning on going south to either the Kalama or Toutle. When we saw the article we thought why are they opening the Toutle to ANY K cool ing. I have never seen a season to keeping native fish. I thought I better play it safe.
