My poor son , after working all day yesterday drives one hour to the Skokomish River to try his luck at catching a salmon. When he returned to his car he found that some BUTT-HEAD had busted out the side rear window on his Honda, didn't take anything, just wanted the thrill of destroying someone elses propety.
Guess I'll never understand why animals like that get such satisfaction destroying thing that don't belong to them.
Better keep on eye on the river and one on your vehicle.

Well maybe you didn't read the post "Skok Joke" where I asked not to start alot of native bashing,
is the Skokomish tribe traveling to the Skykomish River and vandalizing vehicles there also or might some vehicles be vandalized by localsthat aren't Native American?

Jesus Jerry, Its kind of ironic how you automatically assume that when Fishinsination posted that some "Butthead" broke into his son's car that he was accusing a tribal member of doing it. I guess we shouldn't say anything thing at all that would cast a negative light on the Skokomish River, lest we come off as not being Politically Correct.

I can answer your question about the barbless regulation on the skok. I was one of the few people the warden checked last friday and I asked him about it and he told me it was because a lot of fish get snagged there and the easiest way to release them was without a barb. I still find it kind of akward to have that rule knowing that you don't have to release wild fish in there or anything.

p.s.- make sure to obey the rules I saw 4 people ticketed for having barbs and some of them weren't even fishing.

ZoZo-- It was wolf -eel who said it was vandal's and if I had left Fishinsinsation's post up you would have seen he had assumed it was tribal vandals. Political correctness has nothing to do with it, I have seen far more snagging and mishandling { John's Creek chums come to mind} of fish by non natives than by natives. I just don't think the board is the place for racial slander. I would love to hear solutions instead of b!tching and blaming.

ya gammyman,
so the dudes dint even wet a line before they were ticketed? if you could enlighten me to where they were at? like say on the river getting ready to fish? or standing up on the road watching people fish with poles in hand? i forgot to pinch my barb and the gamie was at the next guy over and i pull my line in check it, and sure enough im looking thru my pockets as fast as my hands can go looking for my pliers..i had jus recently tied on and forgot..anyways..there is a place for gamies, but not to excessively enforce..**berkley boy**

BerkleyBoy,
Sorry for the late response. From what I saw they were just standing on the road watching(at the top hole with the log at the beginning of it) not even wetting a line and the barbed hooks were tied on to their rods. I had the same little barb incident as you berkley boy, except I got checked, but luckily I had a gamakatsu hook on with a real fine barb that he didn't see, but it still taught me my lesson so now I pinch my barbs the night before.

"The man" has been there everyday this week. Saw several tickets being written last night for barbs.

Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckers. :p

I guess I'll ask the same question about the one fish and barbless hook. Seems like let the mofos get their 1 fish and be gone, instead of swatting away with boobless hooks. Oh well, at least the Skoks get to use 8/0 trebles........ rolleyes

Doug (FH5), ran into a tribal guy named Ed who said he knew ya. He was a very nice guy, even though he stretch his net in the hole I was fishing....lol

Hey Yall, I talked to the gamey last week and according to him if you see any skoks out there with treble hooks they are breaking the law. By the by the gamies I run into down there have been really cool, only time I saw massive tickets was people in closed fishing area up at the creek. Mean while fishing has been good. going to enjoy a day of it tomorrow.

Hmmm, I wonder if it's the same gammie who said that there is a state wide rule stating that you are only allowed 1 King.(Any where you fish confused )
